Feminist Majority Foundation
The Feminist Majority Foundation, which was founded in 1987, is a cutting edge organization dedicated to women’s equality, reproductive health, and non-violence. In all spheres, the organization utilizes research and action to empower women economically, socially, and politically. Feminist Majority Foundation believes that feminists – both women and men, girls and boys – are the majority, but this majority must be empowered. Our research and action programs focus on advancing the legal, social and political equality of women with men, countering the backlash to women’s advancement, and recruiting and training young feminists to encourage future leadership for the feminist movement in the United States.
Project LPAC
Project LPAC works to increase LGBTQ women’s civic engagement and political participation.
The project is important because LGBTQ women are a substantial, important, and diverse constituency and it is important that their voices are heard at the polls.
Our Bodies Ourselves
Our Bodies Ourselves, also known as the Boston Women’s Health Book Collective, is best known for the landmark book “Our Bodies, Ourselves,” which empowers women with information about health, sexuality and reproduction. We work in and build bridges among social justice movements.
National Center For Health Research
The National Center for Health Research conducts, analyzes, and explains the latest research and works with patients, consumers, and opinion leaders to use that information to improve their health and to develop better programs, policies, and services.
We want to participate in Every Woman Vote 2020 because the quality of medical care and the lives of many Americans are in jeopardy because of legislative, regulatory, and policy decisions that are inconsistent with public health. Women voters care about those issues, and their votes matter.
League of Women Voters
We are empowering voters and defending democracy. We believe in the power of women to create a more perfect democracy. The League of Women Voters is pleased to join forces with Every Woman Vote to encourage and empower women to participate as voters in 2020. This initiative is an important part of ensuring all of us – and our friends, families, colleagues and neighbors – have the trusted information they need to cast a vote.
Ms. Magazine
The Feminist Majority Foundation supports the mobilization of college-age women, and reports on issues of concern to women voters of all ages.
Women’s Equity Center and Action Network
The mission of the Women’s Equity Center and Action Network (WE CAN) is to educate, engage and activate women of color. We are a partner in Every Woman Vote 2020 because it will take ALL of us, working together, to regain control of our democracy. America deserves representative, responsive, and ethical leadership that we can trust! WE CAN will activate our network to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to cast their vote to restore our democracy.
National Organization for Women Foundation
The National Organization for Women Foundation was established in 1986 as a 501(c)(3) education and litigation organization allied with the National Organization for Women, the largest feminist activist organization in the United States with its national offices in Washington, D.C. and hundreds of affiliates across the country. The Foundation works to enhance the status of women in the United States and around the world through many strategies, including advocacy, litigation and education.
Women’s Action for New Directions Education Fund
WAND Education Fund works to empower women to act politically to reduce violence and militarism and redirect excessive Pentagon spending toward unmet human and environmental needs. Without a truly representative democracy, demilitarizing our society and redirecting Pentagon spending to unmet human needs will be exceedingly difficult. Every woman must make their voice heard this election cycle by voting for people over the Pentagon.
National Council of Jewish Women
We have a voter education, registration, and mobilization campaign called Promote the Vote, Protect the Vote 2020.
National Abortion Federation
The mission of the National Abortion Federation is to unite, represent, serve, and support abortion providers in delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Coalition of Labor Union Women
The Coalition of Labor Union Women is America’s only national organization for union women. Formed in 1974, CLUW is a nonpartisan organization within the union movement.
The primary purpose of (CLUW) is to unify all union women in a strong organization to determine and seek remedies to our common problems and concerns and to develop action programs within the framework of the labor movement to effectively promote our objectives.
Vote Mama Foundation
The Vote Mama Foundation is working to overcome the structural and cultural hurdles that mothers face while running for office and that legislators face while fighting for family-friendly legislation. We are working with candidates to petition their state and local election commissions, and with legislators to introduce and pass legislation to approve the use of campaign funds for childcare for state and local candidates. 17 states have now approved this, and we are working to pass campaign funds for childcare in all 50 states.
Vote Run Lead
The mission of vote run lead is to train barrier-breaking women to unleash their political power, run for office, and transform American Democracy. Quite simply, we train women to run for office. And win.
WomenWerk
WomenWerk is a women’s empowerment non-profit seeking to build power for women. We work with communities of color to bring intersectionality to the gender equality movement. We work through three major initiatives:
- Programs in partnership with women’s networks at companies highlighting the challenges and opportunities women face.
- Standalone events that highlight women speakers and their best practices for success across industry and key topics.
- Civic engagement to train and mobilize women in all political parties to engage in voting and issues advocacy.
Public Allies
It is our goal to create a just and equitable society and the diverse leadership needed to sustain it. Public Allies is a national movement committed to advancing social justice and equity by engaging and activating the leadership capacities of our young people.
